Adelaide

Here are some photos from Adelaide from the beach and the university

My uni, the University of Adelaide, is a huge complex, where you can study everything from classical music to engineering and social sciences. The campus itself is beautiful, situated just by the River Torrens. Here are some photos I took from the school when I arrived in February.

Easter trip

Easter trip Adelaide-Barossa Valley-Sydney-East Coast-Brisbane
31.3.-17.4.

Glenelg, Adelaide, just before sunset

My boyfriend, Juhani, came to visit me in Australia and we had a great time visiting different places in Australia. We started in Adelaide biking around and did a wine tasting trip to Barossa Valley, the home of wine producers such as Penfolds and Jacobs Creek. We had excellent wine in a winery called Langmeil, but unfortunately you can´t buy it from Alko, our Finnish alcohol monopoly. Wine, cheese and biking in Barossa - it was a perfect start for our trip!

From Adelaide we flew to Sydney and I have to say I was a bit jealous about not being on exchange there...I love it! But..it was huge and bus rides in traffic did take ages. We saw all the touristy stuff, here some pictures to prove it :)
The ultimate tourist picture in Sydney - The Opera House!

The Botanic Garden in Sydney was beautiful

On the way from Coogee to the famous Bondi Beach in Sydney

From Sydney we drove to the Blue Mountains and hiked there for a few days. Once you see the incredible blue light that casts upon the mountains, you understand why they are called, well, the Blue Mountains. It´s a World Heritage site and I recommend everyone to go there if you are in Sydney, the views were just spectacular!

From the Blue Mountains we drove to the East Coast and enjoyed days of sun, surf and a bit more sun! We had so much fun, that we almost have no pictures, we just forgot! But waves were good, especially in Crescent Head and Coolangatta.  And I had to wear a wetsuit because I was freezing - ironically- on the Gold coast of Australia

Coolangatta the place of sun and surf!

We didn´t miss Australia´s famous animals, we saw cute koalas and friendly kangaroos.
